The University of Applied Sciences Fulda was founded 1974. The modern architecture and circular arrangement of the buildings create a pleasant campus site with a familiar atmosphere. In order to cover the demand on high teaching and learning standards surrounding historical buildings are now restored and modernized, so that the campus is still increasing. According to recent statistics (winter term 2007/ 2008) 4398 students (438 other nationalities), 133 lecturers and 245 other staff members are working, learning and researching at the University of Applied Sciences Fulda. The following departments cover a wide range of scientific fields: - Applied Computer Sciences - Electrical Engineering & Information Technology - Food Technology - Oecotrophology - Nursing & Health Sciences - Social & Cultural Studies - Social Work - Business Administration According to the 2 departments “Ocotrophology” and “Social work” the following programmes are offered: - Bachelor-Programmes - Oecotrophology - Social Work - Master-Programmes - International Food Business and Consumer Studies (internat.; in cooperation with the University Kassel) - Public Health Nutrition (in cooperation with the department “Nursing & Health Sciences”) - Professional Studies – Community Development & Community Organization - Other Programmes - Social Competence (distance-learning certificate) The following guidelines of the University of Applied Sciences describe the basis for teaching, learning and cooperating in an interdisciplinary way.
